Macy Vintson Joe, M.A., CFRE, is the Managing Director of External Affairs at Small Magic, where she leads fundraising, communications, and external partnerships to advance early childhood outcomes across Birmingham.
A seasoned nonprofit leader, Macy has secured millions in philanthropic investment through individual, corporate, and foundation partnerships. She previously led a $7.2 million capital campaign at the Women’s Foundation of Alabama and has advised more than ten nonprofit organizations on fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
Macy is also the co-founder of the Warsaw Freedom Institute, where she helped launch an international nonprofit focused on leadership development and transatlantic collaboration. She often describes her work as solving complex equations—connecting people, purpose, and resources to create meaningful, measurable impact. Originally from Oxford, Alabama, she has lived in Birmingham since 2019 and enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their pets.
