Parents for Change
Community change, community-led.
The Parents for Change Fellowship is a dynamic leadership program designed to empower and mobilize parents and caregivers who have successfully completed the Birmingham Talks program. This initiative positions them as catalysts for positive change, leveraging their learnings to serve as champions for literacy within their communities.
Fellows join a close-knit collective dedicated to enhancing kindergarten readiness and economic mobility within their local ecosystems. They take charge of recruiting participants and facilitating their own Birmingham Talks group, assuming full ownership of their cohort. In turn, fellows receive a stipend and personalized leadership development coaching provided by a member of the Small Magic team.
